Where is Soma Bay and which hotels are in the zone?
Soma Bay is a gated peninsula about 55 km south of Hurghada Airport, a few kilometres off the coast road before Safaga. Its hotels, the golf course and the kite and diving centres all share one access road with a security gate.
Safaga town and its hotels are about 10 km further south; the same transfer price covers both. The road to Luxor starts at Safaga, so Soma Bay is the closest resort for a Luxor day trip.
How do people get from the airport to the hotels?
There is no bus from the airport to the hotels. The options are the hotel or tour-operator transfer (a shared bus), a taxi at the exit (price negotiated) or a pre-booked car at a fixed price.
