Where is El Gouna and which hotels are in the zone?
El Gouna is a lagoon town about 25 km north of Hurghada Airport, built on islands and canals with its own marinas (Abu Tig Marina and the New Marina), Downtown and the Mangroovy beach area to the north.
All hotels of the town are inside one gated area; the driver passes the entrance gate with your hotel name and drops you at the hotel door. Within El Gouna people move by tuk-tuk, the town bus or bicycle.
How do people get from the airport to the hotels?
There is no bus from the airport to the hotels. The options are the hotel or tour-operator transfer (a shared bus), a taxi at the exit (price negotiated) or a pre-booked car at a fixed price.
