Where exactly does the driver meet me?
After passport control and customs, in the public arrivals hall of Luxor Airport: the driver holds a sign with your name. If you cannot see him, write on WhatsApp — the number is in your confirmation. He follows the flight number, so a delay or an early landing is not a problem.
Luxor Airport is small and close to town: East Bank hotels on the Corniche are 15–20 minutes away, West Bank hotels near the Valley of the Kings 35–45 minutes over the bridge south of the city. Nile cruises from Luxor to Aswan start at the East Bank quays.
Do I need a visa, and where do I get it?
Most visitors either buy an e-visa in advance on the official portal or a visa on arrival at the bank counters before passport control (US$25 single entry, according to the UK FCDO). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Rules change — check the official portal before you fly.
Is there a bus, or how do people get to the hotels?
Luxor Airport: taxis wait at the exit and negotiate the price; there is no airport bus.
Late landings are common on flights via Cairo; the driver follows your flight number and waits 60 minutes from the actual landing.

Nothing changes: no night surcharge, and the 60 minutes of free waiting start from the actual landing. If the flight is cancelled or moved to the next day, we move the transfer or refund it.
